So, I was walking to my room while coming back from the gym (that's a new thing) and spotted a gecko on the wall. Surprisingly, we don't really get too many of them in the hales, so I ran in and grabbed my camera and snapped a couple of pictures.
Then I realized I didn't have a card in my camera, so none of them were saved. Dangit.
Then I went back into my room and stuck a card in my camera, but the gecko had gone into hiding.
You get a picture of a gecko tail (along with the lovely hallway light fixture). Enjoy.
(Moral of the story: When done uploading pictures, put the dang card back in the camera.)
Better the tail exposed while the gecko hides than one flopping on the floor while the gecko is elsewhere!
ReplyDeleteWe used to tell stories about what the geckos were saying when they chirped in your room at night. Do you remember any of that?
dear eliza. are you sure the pictures arent saved on your camera i did the same thing once. (my story did not involve geckos)i was UUUPSET. then i realized there is some memory space on the actual camera and they got saved on there. who woulda thought. i realize you are a smart person.... but maybe you hadnt thought of that
ReplyDeletelove kortni
ps- you take beautiful pictures. i LOVE them
ReplyDeleteI did check and my camera has no built in memory, sad day. But thanks for the advice and thanks for looking!
ReplyDeleteMama- I don't remember that exactly, but it kind of rings a bell. When I'm back in Maryland, we should talk about old Hawaii times. Also, I got some credit for not being as much haole as others 'cause apaprently you kind of count as local. :)
